Independence from Hunger Walk / Run

Bib Pick-Up and Race-Day InstructionsBib pick-up and race-day instructions will begin at 5:30 AM. Race Start TimeThe race will begin at 6:00 AM. Profits from this run/walk registration will support Grocery Outlet’s Independence from Hunger Fund, which has partnered with local food pantries. According to the USDA’s most recent food security survey, 13.5%, or about 18 million, U.S. households experience food insecurity. More than 6 million of those households include children. Summer months can create additional challenges. Without regular access to school meals, Move for Hunger estimates that 22 million children experience summer hunger each year. From June 25 to July 31, Grocery Outlet’s Independence from Hunger campaign will collect in-store and online donations, as well as pre-made bags of nonperishable food, at more than 540 Grocery Outlet locations across the country.
